Wet cough following bronchitis?

Last week I was diagnosed with bronchitis and given a z-pack. Yesterday I started having a really bad 'wet cough' as opposed to the hacking dry one I had before. I don't feel any better (but not really any worse for that matter) and I'm wondering if it means the infection is clearing up, or that I should return to the dr?
