Should gas consumers pay for their "fair share" of the US military budget?

we can apply that to schools, roads, education and so on. then when we have nothing, who will be the ones complaining. my friend has no children yet he pays for schools. he wonders why. and so do i, i am not lazy but yet i have to pay for lazy people. why?
