Finch breeding questions!?

I'm planning on getting a pair of gouldian finches and I have a big cage for them and am wondering if they'll breed in a room with a lot of activity? I have two parrots in that room (not breeders, pets) and a cat and spend most of my time in that room when I'm home. It gets the most sunlight. And also if you know about breeding them can you give me as much info as you know? I've done my research but want to have a more broad understanding I guess. Mainly I want to know what foods to give them and when to give them certain foods and when I don't need to. And any other things that are important. Thanks everyone :)
