Friends help, new school year, want to make new friends!?

how can i like make more friends? im not like a geek, im just an average 15 year old girl. im shy at first, but im really nice to anyone and i just only have 2 best friends that go to my school, im friendly with other people, but i always feel awkward talking to people i barely know. also, i talk to guys in cl if i sit next to them or whatever but i really wnat to just have friends that are guys? i used to have a reallly good guy friend, but we went out and now its wicked awkward and we havent talked in like a year. please give me advice? school starts soon and i want to totally change this yeatr, i want alot of friends and a boyfriend even! please give advice...
