Breathing trouble in humidity?

i had bronchitis two falls ago and it lasted a long time (late september-early november) because I didn't take time off from cross country (running) and now I can't breathe in humidity and I moved to the desert and so it's not major humidity I'm talking about it's just some clouds and when it actually rains and stuff I get a bad cough. is this normal?
