Why do people hate Zac Efron?

Did he actually do something to provoke people or is it just because of his ridiculous teeniefan following? As far as i can tell hes just a guy thats trying his best toward an acting career. He cant help his fame. It just makes me wonder, cause i know nothing about hollywood drama and news so i dont know if he has actually done anything to deserve this hate or what
