Hypothetically, if Jose Rizal is gay would he still be considered to be the Philippines national hero?

I notice we have sublime imagery of our heroes, and one of them is none other than Dr. Rizal. As writers painted him as picture perfect. No flaws whatsoever. It inspired me the thought because of watching the different version of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law. A different Sherlock Holmes from previous written novels about him by a physician named Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887, a time of Rizal wouldn't you say? Very inspiring indeed the movie of Downey and Law. A greasy/flamboyant looking Sherlock. A contrast from the previous Sherlock movies I had seen before. We actually do not know exactly everything about Rizal except of course what is written in the books. A ladies man I should say, can speak 12 languages. In my elementary days according to the early books he speaks only 7 languages but now on this new version of Rizal's biography it is now 12. A skillful swordsman, a painter, educator, physician, sculptor etc. and the list is as long as an utang sa tindahan. Most of the women in Rizal's life is hardly known and he was still single or a bachelor when he was killed and the books doesn't know exactly how tall or small Rizal is. Some says he has the same height as that of Gloria Arroyo or perhaps like Manny Pacquiao, which he have a remarkable resemblance don't you think? And it also entered my thoughts about Rustom Padilla. A movie actor in the early 80's. A ladies man, dashing debonair, handsome guy. Disappeared in the 90's and returned back in early 2000 and even joined PBB and with his famous revelation. I am not comparing both, just thinking about the possibility that's all. And I am not saying he is, what if….I suppose they do not have preference then about ly or being gay in the 18th century or what gay is all about. We never knew any of our heroes to be gay isn't it? But now there are rumors that there are gay Senators or even Congressman. Funny isn't it? So about this question, what do you think?
