Is this a sign that he likes me or am I reading too much into it?
This is a bit lengthy, but if you could read it and give a well thought out answer, I'd appreciate it very much! :) There's a guy that I have a crush on, and I think he might as well, but I'm not totally sure. We were in a play together and became fast and really good friends (I've told him I consider him to be one of my best friends). On the last night of the show, he tried to hold my hand during one of our warm-up games. That really got me thinking he liked me. After the show last April we talked a bit on Facebook then we didn't talk until four months ago when I saw him on Facebook and decided to chat with him using Facebook chat. Since then, for about two months we talked on Fb chat about every other day for probably 20-30 minutes each. He always asks about me, my life, and my interests. College started up again, and instead of using Fb chat to talk, we switched to messages. I seldom get to see him on campus, and when I do it's usually only for a few minutes (but he does stop and talk with me a bit before he's on his way). He gets extremely busy during the school year, so doesn't stay online long and he turns off his chat. While we still talk back and forth pretty regularly with messages, it's not as frequent as our chats. But it's probably because of his busy schedule. He didn't send me a message for about a week and a half so I asked him about him being kind of distant. He replied promptly and asked me about five questions about how I was and so forth, and apologized about being distant, explaining that he had been swamped with stuff. According to that, it seems like he does not want to stop talking to me in the least bit. About a month ago, he came to see a show I was in, and he came with his roommate, let's call him Ivan. Then the next night, my crush and Ivan returned and my crush brought his mother to the show and introduced me to her and invited me to hang out with the three of them for a while. He looked like he had gotten a haircut (for his hair looked nicer than it's usually niceness), and I asked him about it and he gave a tight lipped smile, but genuine and said "No, just styled it differently." Then as I was walking behind him I realized he smelled extremely good! I mean, even better than he usually does. He always makes eye contact with me when talking and tries to make me laugh, teases me in a good way often, and shares his opinions on things and tells me stuff about his family and roommate. However, he is a naturally flirty/ friendly guy. Would a guy that was interested in being just a friend keep regular contact via Facebook for such an extended period of time and do the things he did? Or, does he perhaps have a crush on me, and so loves to keep up with me?
